We all experience loss at one point or another – a death of a family member, a friend, or even a beloved celebrity. Recently, we have experienced the passing of Dalton Janway, a life that was respected and honored by many. This article is an obituary of sorts to remember Dalton’s life and pay our respects.
It is with deep sorrow that we bid farewell to Dalton Janway. Dalton was born in 1972 and was a beloved husband, father, son, and friend for most of his life. He passed away peacefully in October 2020 after a long battle with an undisclosed illness.
Dalton was an enthusiastic outdoorsman, often camping and fishing with his family. He was also a volunteer fireman and coached Little League. He began his career as an electrician and had later relocated to Birmingham, AL for a new job two years before his passing.
Dalton is survived by his mother, two siblings, and his children. He is also remembered fondly by his extended family, friends, and colleagues.

- The honor of being selected to serve with the 73rd Battalion.
- A special award from the Huntsman Humanitarian Foundation in 1996 for his volunteer efforts.
Dalton’s funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Birmingham, Alabama on October 20th 2020. The family has requested for friends and extended family to wear masks and maintain social distancing at all times.
