We were all heartbroken to learn of the death of Caleb Willingham, a beloved luminary in his community and beyond. Caleb was a bright star who shone a light on so many lives during his time on Earth. Here, we honor and remember his life and all of the incredible work he did.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Caleb Willingham, who passed away on July 22, 2020.
Caleb was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was an incredible figure of strength and insight for the community. He is remembered for being a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and community engagement. With a real love for his family, friends, and neighbors, Caleb was a beloved friend and family member who truly cared about the wellbeing of others.
Most notably, Caleb was generous with his time and expertise in his work with the local community and environment. He was a founding member of the Rainforest Alliance, which devoted its work to preserving the rainforest’s sustainability. He could often be seen volunteering at the local library as a nature guide and teacher, inspiring children to learn about the beauty of nature and the environment.
In Caleb’s memory, his loved ones have established the Caleb Willingham Memorial Fund, which seeks to bring his ethics and beloved principles to the preservation and conservation of natural resources.
His legacy will live on through his inspiring work and memory, and he will be dearly missed.
