We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Don Wormley, a beloved member of our community. Don was a pillar of strength and kindness, brightening the lives of everyone he came into contact with. His infectious smile and generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Today, we honor and remember Don’s extraordinary life and lasting legacy.
Don Wormley Obituary
Don Wormley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was born on October 31, 1943 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Don graduated from Alexandria High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force for four years. He married his soulmate, Marie, in 1971, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2021.
Don worked in the tool and die trade and went on to achieve his journeyman certification through apprenticeship. He also owned and operated several tool and die plants. Don taught industrial engineering at Sault College in Ontario for 8 years. After retiring, he continued to work on various projects for the last 25 years. He also enjoyed taking part in the annual snowbird migration to Arizona.
Don brought joy to everyone’s life with his wit and charm. He was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent teacher. He believed in the power of giving and generosity. Don will be deeply missed by everyone who was blessed to have known him.
